A few pics for you to enjoy…
The best light for outdoor photography is usually the late afternoon. The sun is setting so the light gets softer and better. Yet, since we were running on a yearbook deadline, we did Daniela’s shoot in the early morning. It is not usually my favorite time of day, mostly for the unfavorable light, but also because I’m not quite a morning person; okay, fine, I’m not a morning person at all! However, this was sooooo worth it! It was THE day to do a morning photo shoot. The sky was bright and cloudy all day so the light was soft and the heat was minimal. Amazing shots of an amazing girl. Thanks Daniela!

July 9, 2009 - 9:02 am - Vanessa!!! The pictures are coming out AMAZING!!! They are so vibrant and full of life- and the personality of each person shines through your photos! Kudos on all the photos- you're an incredible photographer!
Jessica came all the way from Denver for her S12 Senior photo session. I always talk through all my sessions trying to get to know the girls, guys or families. But, Jessica is the quiet, sweet and shy type, that is until Mom brought up the subject of Johnny Depp and well…things took off from there. Why? Because I ♥ Johnny Depp also and he has a new movie coming out and, I digress. Anyway, Johnny did the trick because she “warmed up” nicely (metaphorically of course, it was over 90° that day) and she gave me some amazing shots. Awesome job Jessica!! Look at you work it. Beautiful…

June 29, 2009 - 9:30 am - Vanessa, I LOVE your senior portraits. They are so fresh and beautiful. Lovely work my friend!
July 1, 2009 - 6:53 am - Vanessa, WOW AMAZING PICTURES!!! You did a great job at the photo shoot. The pictures could not have come out any better. We can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures.
It seems that Miami is becoming quite the destination for Senior photos. I’ve been doing a lot of out-of-towners lately. This stylish gal is Maria who came all the way from Pennsylvania for her styling senior pictures. It may sound repetitive, but it was so so so hot on this day! I was drenched within the first 10 minutes. The problem is that the Vizcaya gardens, where we started the session, do not get a lot of wind, so you’re just melting in there unless you get close to the water. Which is exactly what we did. We moved to the beach and it was such a relief. Maria was a total pro. She brought four outfits, all über cool, with the best accessory ever…a very cool pair of aviator sunglasses that killed! Take a look at that last shot. She knew how to work it too. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so no need to say much else…enjoy!

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Peter. He’s the S12 Model for Monsignor Edward Pace High-School. He’s the stylish quiet type. We did his first session in the studio and what an awesome set of pics we got. He was rockin’ some cool styles and brought just the right amount of A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E for the brooding shots.
So when you see Peter at your school, make sure to hit him up for some business cards so you can get a free 8×10 or $50 off your senior photo session at VLM Studios. You better do it fast though because he has a limited number of cards to give out. Make sure you mention his name when you book your appointment.
Check out the coolness…

May 11, 2009 - 9:30 am - These are so great! I love that last one - especially the crop.
I love doing the S12 Senior photo sessions because they’re so much more like a fashion shoot where I get to direct and experiment, plus high school Seniors rock and are always up for being original and different so I can always get some awesomeness from each shoot.
For her senior photos, Andrea drove down to Miami all the way from Vero Beach! Yes, I said Vero Beach! That’s a two and a half hour drive just to get her S12 Session on! So honored and, no pressure…lol I had a blast shooting Andrea (with my camera..hehe) so much so that we went over the closing time at the beach and a very disgruntled lifeguard locked the gate and locked us in! Fortunately someone drove by not too long after to set us free and opened the gate…phew… It was sooooo worth it though, check her out!
Andrea you are a superstar! See you soon…

What can I say other than….Wowsa!! This is Rebekah, our official female S12 Model for Mast Academy High School. She’s sweet, confident, and totally rocked both her studio and location sessions.
So…..2010 Seniors….you need to look up Rebekah at your school and hound her for some business cards. You will get HALF OFF your S12 Senior session at VLM Studios when you present your card. She has a limited number of cards, so make sure to get one before she runs out and mention her name when you book your appointment.
Here’s the awesomeness….
